Description

The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is located on the St. Johns River and is noted for its collection of more than 6,000 masterworks of American and European paintings, beautiful historic gardens, outstanding collection of Meissen porcelain and Art Connections, the museum's national award-winning art education center.

Mission Statement

To build an outstanding survey collection of world art with a concentration in American art, and to develop museum gardens of regional significant; and to provide the collections and gardens with the highest level of scholarship, conservation, interpretation and professional care. To work in partnership with all sectors of the community to make the museum's collections, gardens and programs serve as the region's centerpiece of education and involvement in all of the arts.
